Commercial & Industrial Energy Efficiency Programs
Berkshire Gas offers eligible commercial and industrial customers incentives and rebates for the installation of high efficiency equipment through its GasNetworks® & Berkshire Gas Energy Efficiency Programs. In addition, Berkshire Gas offers a number of initiatives in conjunction with the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards (BBRS), Berkshire Bank, equipment manufacturers and others.
For natural gas firm commercial & industrial customers, a walk-through energy audit is performed to identify opportunities to reduce gas consumption for space or water heating. A more detailed engineering analysis may be required for Berkshire Gas customers who use natural gas for industrial process applications. Berkshire Gas may contribute up to 50% toward the installation of program-approved energy saving measures identified during the audit, such as insulation and heating system upgrades. This co-payment helps reduce costs for making energy saving improvements, which may dramatically improve the building's comfort level.
