With over 165 years of serving our communities, we are proud to be a corporate partner in the neighborhoods we serve. We help shape the quality of life in Massachusetts by supporting organizations and activities that maintain the health and wellbeing of our customers and communities. We also work with community agencies to ensure all customers have access to affordable energy. Berkshire Gas and its parent company, AVANGRID, Inc. provide grants to 501(c)(3) organizations that improve the vitality of the communities we serve with a focus on energy sustainability, the environment, art and culture, and cooperation and solidarity. Our employees are actively engaged in the community through an annual Employee Giving Campaign to raise funds in support of nonprofit organizations in our service territory. Employees also participate in other activities such as company-sponsored blood drives, school events, and holiday gift drives.

Created for Fire, EMS, Police/Security, Public Works, Contractors, and Community Officials, Responding to Utility Emergencies (RTUE) offers FREE training to help you understand the hazards and maintain personal safety when working near electric and gas utilities and dealing with electric and gas emergencies.
