Berkshire Gas offers eligible commercial and industrial customers incentives/rebates for the installation of select high efficiency equipment through its GasNetworks® & Berkshire Gas Energy Efficiency Programs. In addition, Berkshire Gas offers a number of initiatives in conjunction with the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards (BBRS), Berkshire Bank, equipment manufacturers and others.

For natural gas firm commercial & industrial customers, a walk-through energy audit is performed to identify opportunities to reduce gas consumption for space or hot water heating. A more detailed engineering analysis may be required for Berkshire Gas customers who use natural gas for industrial process applications. Berkshire Gas may contribute up to 50% toward the installation of program-approved energy saving measures identified during the audit, such as insulation and heating system upgrades. This co-payment helps reduce costs for making energy saving improvements, which may dramatically improve the building's comfort level.

Summary: A $300 rebate is available for C&I customers who purchase and install high efficiency natural gas water heating .
Eligible Equipment & Requirements:
- Indirect-fired storage tank models (30 to 75 gallons) that are connected to a natural gas heating system.
- Tankless, On-Demand models with a minimum .82 Energy Factor (EF) and electronic ignition.
COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL INFRARED HEATING EQUIPMENT REBATE PROGRAM
Summary: A $500/unit installed rebate (maximum 5 unit /gas account) is available for C&I natural gas customers who install low intensity infrared heating units.

ENERGY STAR®-LABELED THERMOSTAT REBATE PROGRAM
Summary: A $25/per thermostat rebate (maximum 2 thermostats per account) is available for C&I natural gas customers who purchase and install an ENERGY STAR-qualified thermostat.

HIGH EFFICIENCY FRYER REBATE PROGRAM
Summary: A $1000/per unit, high efficiency, gas-fired fryer rebate is available for C&I natural gas customers who purchase and install eligible equipment.
