We deliver natural gas to your home through the system of pipes we manage. While natural gas outages are rare, there are a few scenarios that may result in an outage including localized flooding, accidental damage from a third party if 811 was not contacted for marking underground facilities, extreme cold weather and supplier issues before the natural gas enters our system. 

Due to the different causes of an outage, restoration times can vary and often include several important steps to ensure continued safe delivery of natural gas to your property. Additionally, restoration of service to your particular location will depend on the ability of technicians to access your property to turn service back on and relight natural gas appliances. 

We will let you know when we expect to begin actively reconnecting natural gas meters and relighting natural gas appliances.

You may see our crews in your area, receive a phone call or email to schedule access or receive a leave behind that has contact information to schedule access. 

We recommend that, if possible, you be home when service is restored in order to provide access for field technicians.

To ensure your safety, we may utilize the assistance of local fire departments and locksmiths to gain access to meters and will make every effort to leave your property in the same condition as when we arrive. Technicians will need to turn natural gas service back on and relight any natural gas appliances.

We may need to disconnect and reconnect natural gas meters in order to resolve an outage. To ensure your safety, we may utilize the assistance of local fire departments and locksmiths to gain access to meters and will make every effort to leave your property in the same condition as when we arrive.

Depending on the size and cause of an outage, work will be done by our field technicians or one of our qualified technicians from assisting contractors and natural gas companies. 

We recognize that a natural gas outage is frustrating and inconvenient, which is why we’re committed to restoring your service as quickly and safely as possible.
